RESIDENT HOME BASED BUSINESSES

Regulations on home –based businesses are meant to maintain a quiet neighborhood with minimal impacts on traffic and parking.

A business in a private residence may only be conducted by the person residing on the premises and must be secondary to the use of the premises as a dwelling.  The business may not have more than  ____ employees.   A Special Exception from the City Council must be obtained prior to operating any residential business in the Tri Park District.  The special Exception must be renewed by the City Council on an annual basis.

Changes to the outside appearance of the dwelling and advertising signs must confirm to codes and guidelines already established.
